In 1926, LTG Technologies was established in Germany, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become International Thermal Systems (ITS). From its earliest days, LTG focused on engineering advanced equipment designed to serve and improve the Metal Packaging Industry. With a strong commitment to innovation and precision manufacturing, the company built a reputation for delivering reliable, high-performance systems that supported productivity and quality for metal packaging manufacturers.
Over the decades, LTG continued to strengthen its expertise and expand its technological capabilities. Its solutions were designed to meet the evolving demands of the industry, helping customers optimize production processes and maintain consistent results. This foundation of engineering excellence and customer-focused innovation positioned LTG as a trusted partner in the global market.
In 1990, LTG expanded into the United States, marking a significant milestone in its growth. Establishing a U.S. presence opened new opportunities for sales while also introducing a stronger engineering structure within the organization. By integrating sales and engineering teams more closely, LTG enhanced collaboration, responsiveness, and customization capabilities—further solidifying its position as a world leader in the Metal Packaging Industry.
Growth accelerated in 1998 when LTG acquired Industrial Heat Enterprises International (IHEI). This strategic acquisition allowed LTG to expand into the Industrial Cleaning Solutions Industry, broadening its portfolio and strengthening its position as a diversified thermal processing provider.
Just one year later, in 1999, LTG acquired Oven Systems Incorporated (OSI), gaining additional traction in the Battery and Metal Packaging Industries. With OSI’s oven system expertise, LTG further expanded its thermal processing capabilities and industry reach.
LTG’s growth continued through strategic acquisitions:
- 1998 – Acquisition of Industrial Heat Enterprises International (IHEI), expanding into industrial cleaning solutions
- 1999 – Acquisition of Oven Systems Incorporated (OSI), strengthening capabilities in battery and metal packaging applications
In 2010, International Thermal Systems (ITS) acquired LTG, IHEI, and OSI—bringing together decades of engineering expertise under one organization.
Today, ITS fully supports all LTG legacy equipment with:
- Replacement parts and OEM components
- Field service and troubleshooting
- System retrofits and performance upgrades
- Ongoing maintenance and optimization
If your facility is running LTG equipment, ITS is your trusted partner for service, support, and modernization.
