ABCD = Above and Beyond the Call of Duty
ITS recently launched a new employee recognition award, the ABCD award.
ABCD is an acronym for Above and Beyond the Call of Duty and recognizes ITS employees for their outstanding efforts. The unique part of the ABCD award is that employees nominate fellow employees for the award. It is a great opportunity to recognize peers and build camaraderie among the entire team. The criteria to be nominated are: innovative ideas, outstanding customer service, extra effort on a project or even an idea that did not work so well – all are efforts that help ITS grow.
The program is simple. We created nomination forms that require just a few sentences on why the person is deserving and how they went above and beyond their everyday job duties. Winners are recognized at our monthly KPI meeting and receive a certificate and a gift card. The program was launched in January and we have recognized 6 employees in the first two months. We are excited to add the ABCD award to our culture and it is just another step in making ITS the place to work.
