ITS has new business hours!
We are now open:
Monday thru Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
The new hours are the result of the work of the HR team and input from ITS employees.
ITS has a goal of making our company THE place to work. Over the past two years, we have made many changes within the organization to improve the physical space and the culture for our employees. The new business hours were requested by the employees to achieve a better Work/Life Balance. Employees now have the option to work longer days Mon-Thursday and then work ½ days on Fridays. Shop employees are now able to work 10 hour days and have a 3 day weekend.
A few of the other projects include a Continuous Improvement program that encourages employees to submit suggestions on how to improve our processes and systems. The Continuous Improvement program has been very successful with over 100 new ideas. Approved ideas range from new equipment, to updated drawings, to new office chairs for all. By valuing employee input, we are creating a workplace that is enjoyable and comfortable.
We have completed a 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) overhaul of 80% of the shop and maintain the organization by conducting monthly audits of the areas. The audits are conducted by fellow employees.
In 2019, we created a new committee, the HR Team, with a goal of further making IT’S THE place to Work. The team surveyed the employees to determine what were the most important benefits and perks to them, and then began the process of creating proposals to submit to management. From the hard work of the committee and employee input, we initiated the following new programs for 2020:
Parental Leave
We are excited to offer paid parental leave to our employees. Each employee will receive 5 days off for the birth of each child.
Shop Employees
Increased the shoe allowance and now offering custom eye and ear protection.
A new committee has been formed for 2020 and we look forward to hearing their new ideas on making ITS the Place to Work!
