We are excited to welcome our new students from Cristo Rey Jesuit High School for the 2019-2020 school year. Two of our students are returning to ITS for another year and we are so happy to have them back. They will return to the accounting and production control departments and the third student is a new addition to the engineering department.
The students are part of a national work-study program. They attend Cristo Rey High School and work at ITS one day a week. They learn while in school but also learn about a variety of jobs and what it is like to work in an corporate office setting. There are over 60 companies in Milwaukee that support the Cristo Rey program. The school opened its doors 5 years ago and has already outgrown its current building. On September 18, we attended the groundbreaking for the new Cristo Rey Jesuit high school in Milwaukee. The new school will be a state of the art high school with all of the latest technology, STEM labs, a soccer field and a performing arts center.
The Cristo Rey program is a huge success in Milwaukee and ITS is a very proud partner.
